Generic Calendar 2015


Generic Print is one of Singapore’s most established and renowned printing companies. With over 20 years of experience, the company has worked with multinational companies like Fuji Xerox and Google. The company is also involved in projects with governmental organisations and ministries such as the National Day Parade since 2013 and the People’s Association.

In 2015, Generic Print underwent a rebranding process, as they look forward to create a new beginning. We designed a calendar to aid in this rebranding process. The calendar was going to be distributed to various clients of the company. Hence, not only did it had to look appealing, it also had to signify the brand’s new direction and values.

The final product was a colourful and earthly calendar that looked both dynamic and engaging at the same time. We picked a leafy cover for the calendar, along with a rainbow hot stamp of the company’s brand logo. The calendar is comprised of multiple images of nature – such as flowers, animals, fruits and even fireworks.

Even the calendar stand was not forgotten in the design of the calendar. The edges of the calendar used an intricate and elegant deboss of a vine artwork. The stand was also a representation for Generic’s foundational strengths in colour, creativity and connection with stakeholders. On the whole, the beautiful calendar conveyed Generic Print’s “modern and fresh” brand identity.

Another purpose of the calendar was to showcase the diverse types of printing services offered in the company. We took extra care to incorporate various features – such as Deboss, Hot Stamping and Die Cut – in the calendar. For example, the name of each month used a rainbow hot stamp. There were also die cuts of numbers representing the different months of the calendar. Combined with the attractive illustrations and designs, this created an effective and eye-catching product.
